I have legacy titles w/ saves intact and custom emus that's great when playing with others (and not wanting to carry retro gear/pc around).īut I like how they're extending support for legacy PC titles in general now, w/ classic Bethesda titles like Quake and now Activision w/ Hexen etc and making them more accessible. I think there'd be a benefit to them IF it was as seamless as XBSX but realistically it's providing a crapton of support for games that they don't have lower level access to, have to run under strict perameters to work (res and fps) and target many types of hw (not to mention disc licenses probs can't be read, and if console licences can carry over).įor Xbox One consoles going as cheap as £50 these days: it's more than worth it just for backcompat and to have official cloud saves/achievements imo. Mirroring360 Splashtop Whiteboard Wired XDisplay. Splinter Cell franchise is one of those for me which is why I prefer playing that on console > pc (in addition to easy multiplayer w/ friends and achievements) Windows XP/Vista, Windows Server 2003, macOS 10.7/10.8, and Android 4.0. Click to shrink. There's a lot of pc ports for legacy titles back then that are convoluted to setup, don't have proper gamepad support or worse: are flat out busted.
